Q: Where is the wiring harness for a 2008 Buick Enclave?
I am going to put a trailer hitch receiver on an 2008 Buick Enclave. Any one know where the wiring harness is under the vehicle for the 4 prong plug?

A: It is not factory installed and you need the harness as well as the jumper box.Sorry for your luck.

Q: I want a license plate frame for the front of my 2008 Buick Enclave. How can I get parts?
I have checked the GM sites, and they don't even have a category for 2008 Enclave accessories--I guess it's too new. I must admit I'm surprised that Buick isn't even listed under Yahoo's list of car makes.

A: Check with the dealer directly or try to use a universal bracket. You can pick one up at a local auto parts store.

Q: What is your opinion about the new buick enclave?
what is the difference in 2008 buick enclave vs a mini van

A: Mini vans have sliding doors the enclave doesn't. Other than that they are very similar.

Q: Does any know what the resale value is on the Buick Enclave?
I know the resale value for Nissan has always been high but what about for Buick. Is is really worth paying the extra money if when you drive it off the lot you lose $10,000.00. I recently test drove the Nissan Rogue and that vehicle rode so stiff I just went 2 blocks and immediately drove it back to the lot and left.

A: The Enclave is new for 2008 model year, so any yahoos guess is as good as yours for resale value. My gut says it will resale very good compared to lumpy terazza , and giant freak Rendevous.....In Motor Trends SUV of the year comparo, the guys (and girls) were drooling over it. The only reason the Mazda CX 9 beat it was the massive 5100 lbs of the buick. they called it .."possibly the best buick ever made" .and "they'll sell a ton on looks alone". This is a big effort from GM. Is it worth buying new when the 1st year depreciation is so bad? We buy 16.5 million new cars a year in USA, you get full, not remaining warrantee, you enjoy each pampered mile.

Q: How does the Buick Enclave front wheel drive handle on snow covered roads?

A: It's just a big FWD car - it'll be decent, but if it's a concern, the best solution is to put four winter tires on it. I have an Accord and I have four Hankook snows mounted on rims - it works very well in the snow. And because I have them mounted - changing them is a snap, I do it myself. Remember - AWD does not help you stop, only go - and people generally get in accidents because they can't stop. Winter tires make a huge difference. Go to tirerack.com or tires.com. They'll cost less than the AWD would have been, and you'll get more life from the standard tires since they won't be on as much, which will offset a large portion of the cost. Hope this helps.

Q: Buick Enclave or Chrysler Town and Country?
We are looking for a a car that can seat 7 and has a big trunk. and we do not know weather to get the Enclave or the Town & Country W/ Swivel n Go and the power folding 3rd row. Which one do you like the best?

A: The Buick Enclave..no comparison. I would test drive them both for yourself, but I have read alot about both and even carry one at one of my dealerships. They both have good points, so I hope ya pick the best one for you.

Q: Does the 2008 Buick Enclave have paddle shiters?
If so, does only a certain trim have paddles? If possible, please give me a link showing the paddle shifters on the steering wheel.

A: Beautiful crossover, no? No they do not have paddles, but there is a manual shift mode on the standard 6 speed transmission for the Enclave, the design is actually pretty unique it is a +/- button on the gear lever. No other vehicle I've seen has that design.

Q: how many of you have bought the Buick Enclave, Saturn Outlook or GMC Acadia?
These are crossovers from GM that get 26 mpg highway. Please also state whether you get FWD or AWD. thx.

A: I have a 2008 Buick enclave FWD and it is better than any car I have ever driven- and working for Motor Trend, I have driven a LOT of vehicles. GM decided to take its first whack at a luxury crossover back when I was studying the internals of the organization for my dissertation. The Board of Directors directed that something be throw together as quickly and as cheaply as possible. Following orders, the product development organization created the Buick Rendezvous by relying heavily on the corporation's minivan platform. As is usually the case when fast and cheap are the top priorities, the Rendezvous wasn't very good. It looked ungainly, it was slow, and the chassis didn't excel at ride or handling. It did sell fairly well, but only because the post-incentive price was low. For 2008, Buick has replaced the Rendezvous with the Enclave. This time around, GM has put the priority on creating a best-in-segment product. Have they succeeded? I took an Enclave for a test drive to find out. I would have preferred to test a loaded leather-trimmed all-wheel-drive CXL, but the initial production run appears to be composed almost entirely of the front-wheel-drive cloth-upholstered CX. So that's what I drove.

Q: what are all the bad things and downsides to a buick enclave?
might buy one but want to no more plz tell me everythin you no

A: I've had mine for a month now. Never thought I'd buy an american car due to reliability (traded in my BMW for it, still have a Lexus), but I'm really loving it! Here are my Pros and Cons. Pros - 1. Car feels well built - good crash safety ratings (5 star), doors are solid. 2. Roomy interior - I have the 2nd row buckets, which fold up with the pull of a lever for roomy access to 3rd row. Real 3rd row as well, not like most SUVs. Great, comfortable leather bucket seats 3. Technology-laden - I was suprised, this car has auto-articulating headlamps that swivel according to the turn of your steering wheel (one of the best inventions ever!). Usually only available in very high end cars. Panasonic DVD with wireless head phones. Perhaps the best navigation system out there. Far easier to use than ones in Lexus and Mercedes. Rear view camera. Power liftgate and everything else. 5.1 Dolby digital Bose surround sound system. Feels like a movie theater in the back. Has a regular 110V outlet . Remote engine start for those hot or cold days. These guys thought of everything. 4. Onstar - includes 1 year premium service. Get your diagnostic reports on your car by email monthly. How cool is that? 5. Great looks - Gets alot of looks on the road and in the parking lot. Very sporty appearance. Interior design is nice too. Very Lexus. It was inspired by private jet interiors, and that was my very first impression. Feels like sitting in first class. 6. Decently sporty drive. Handles better than my parent's Lexus SUV 7. Big 19" wheels with michelin tires Cons - 1. ? reliability - The GMC Acadia and Saturn outlook are built on the same platform and have average reliability according to consumer reports, which isn't so bad. But it has a good warranty 4 years, 50K bumper to bumper and 5 years on the engine, transmission. 2. Wish it had auto shutting doors, cause the doors are heavy, and sometimes requires a really good shove to close. What do you expect for $40K? 3. A few cheap looking parts in the interior, mixed in with the wood trim. You really don't notice it until you look real close though. 4. Gas guzzler - Been getting around 16-18 miles per gallon in the city. Maybe 20 on the highway. At least it takes regular unleaded. 5. Very heavy car - could use a bigger engine, but then then you'd sacrifice even more mileage. Overall, I think you'd be happy with the Enclave, cause I definitely am!

Q: im looking for a used buick enclave?
I am looking for a used buick enclave for sale if you have one you are looking to get rid of or know anyone that does, let me know. THANKS

A: Autotrader.com has 842 of them, ranging in price from $9,700 to $51,412.

Q: What are some bad things about the Buick Enclave??
We are getting a new car and can't pick between an Enclave or an Escalade. What are the good things and bad things about each car?? Thanks!! :)

A: Well its a buick it probably have low resale value like most gm vehicles they don't seen to last as long as hondas and toyotas but thats my opinion.

Q: Why do the Buick Enclave, GMC Acadia, Saturn Outlook all have different MPG ratings with the same powertrain?

A: body weight, style, horsepower, accessories, tires, torque, brake horsepower ,engine type.

Q: Please tell me about the Buick Enclave!!!!?
I would really like some personal info from drivers of the Buick Enclave. Please give me some feedback!

A: The Buick Enclave is a wonderful car. It is the best SUV that General Motors have ever made. It is a fundamentally sound car that should last a lifetime. This is what GM should have been building all along, it is a bonifide winner. Just one problem, one teeny problem. Gas is $4.00 a gallon, it is reasonable to assume; a 20 gallon tank at $4.00 a gallon will cost $60-80 to fill up a tank of gas. At 13 mpg city, you may get 230-256 miles on a tank of gas before fill up. Best case scenario, 18 mpg which is the average for a SUV of this size and weight, your looking at 300-327 miles on a tank of gas. Gas prices may not be as much of an issue for you, if not the Buick Enclave awaits you. Cheers.

Q: GMC Arcadia or Buick Enclave?
Would you rather have a 2008 GMC Arcadia or a 2008 Buick Enclave? Why?

A: Same exact thing just different tags under GM that thing is an over weight midsized SUV, look into other vehicles that are much better than those, look at the New RAV4 with the 270 hp engine that gets much better gas mileage, is faster, more reliable and holds it value better.

Q: How is the Buick Enclave?
Those of you who have this car, give me your thoughts on it. Also is there a lot of trunck space in the back since the website does not show, could you fit a full size suitcase in the trunck that is laying down? Thanks!
