Q: How to get around a 2005 Buick lacrosse trunk release failure?
I have a 2005 buick lacrosse for some reason the trunk will not open with the remote. It is a keyless trunk so I use the other trunk release button that is in the car and it still wont open. And it looks like there is no manual release button in the car either; I am stumped. Does anyone know if there is a way to open the trunk manually? thanks.

A: You should be able to open it with the key, if it won't open with the key the linkage could be broken or disconnected. You could also have a bad lock actuator.

Q: How much would it cost to replace/fix a door handle on an 08 Buick Lacrosse?
The damn valet broke the driver's side door handle on my dad's 08 Buick Lacrosse. It is hanging down. He said its definitely a job for the dealer. If he is going to get it fixed, approximately how much would this cost. Of course the best estimate would come from somebody who actually works for Buick or another part of GM. Thanks.

Q: I want to know if oil burning is usual in my 2007 Buick LaCrosse?
I seem to use a quart of oil every 2,000 miles or so in my Buick. It is under warranty still, the dealer says this is normal. I have had other cars that didn't use a drop of oil?

Q: How do I install new cd player in 2005 Buick Lacrosse?
Everyone says it can't be done. I have tried Best Buy, Circuit City, Fry's, and couldn't find anything compatible from Crutchfield either.

A: we did it it was not easy but it works some kid got the car from his grandfather and the only change a new radio we remove the radio took the face off and mount the factory radio in the trunk no face there is a total of 5 wires you have to extend them we cut the face the size of the new radio but because of the factory buttons and the cd slot and eject button we have to cut a lot more them we use the trim of new pioneer radio glue it in the middle and add bondo to cover the extra gaps , sand it a lot and sand all around the square plastic about 5 mm on all 4 sides when it was done it was vinal wrap in black and install bac in the car with the new head unit it is possible just find a good custom shop this radio installation cost him 300.00 and 5 hours of work

Q: How can I replace the battery in my fob for my buick lacrosse 2006?


A: .On the side of the key fob is a small opening for a flat head screw driver place the screw driver in the opening and gentlely twist it.... it should open ......the battery can be as small as a dime or the size of a nickel you can get it a t walmart...... look closely at the battery to see if it positive or negative side up..........once you have the new battery ....pop out the old one and replace with new one .... once it is back together look in your owners manual to see if there is section for resetting your key fob if not try standing next to the drivers door and press and hold both lock and unlock for 10 to 12 seconds if you hear the doors lock & unlock the key fob is set ....or you can call a GM dealer to find out how to reset key fob

A: They aren't auto manufacturer ratings, they are tested independently by the feds and told to the manufacturers what to advertise. These cars aren't in the same class. You will get average 28-33 in the Sentra, 25-30 in the Altima 4 cylinder and 22-25 in the LaCrosse.

For example usually the process is like insert key and remove, hit gas three times, etc. Please do not say go to dealer. I am aware of that solution thanks.

A: There is only one solution. I`m sorry, but that is the way GM designed the procedure. It has to be programmed by dealer exclusive equipment.

The sound is like slushing water upon acceleration and last week the temp. guage started to rise.

A: Check the bottom of your doors; they have drain holes for rainwater. If they are plugged, water will build up inside the doors and give you a sloshing sound.

A: This lamp is a single led.It should only flash with the key in the off position.This lamp is part of the anti-theft system of the radio.Its there to tell anyone that steals the radio it will not work after removed.
