Q: How far do the front seats of a 1994 Buick Lesabre fold down?
I was wondering how far back do the seats of a 1994 Buick Lesabre Limited go down. They are the fully power seats. Do the front seats fold all the way back to the rear seats to make almost like a flat bed like surface. I would like to sleep in my car and was wondering if this is possible. My car is currently not here, my brother has it and just curious about this. Thanks to this gas price increase I might just stay at work for a few hours and sleep. Thanks!
A: i dun think so... Even mordern sedans cant do that. Only boats and aeroplanes can. I am sure u can modify it to make sleeping more comfy, or u can use a sleeping pillow to sleep in sitting position. Mind u, it is quite comfy too. Hope this helps!!!

Q: Where can I find a factory seatbelt for an 85 Buick Lesabre?
I am looking for a replacement drivers front seatbelt mechanism for a 1985 Buick Lesabre Collectors Edition. Does anyone know any sites I can order a factory style belt or replacement part. The copper winding inside has broken and will not hold tension. Any info/help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Q: Why doesnt the air conditioning or heating work in my '92 Buick Lesabre?
I have a 92 buick lesabre. About four months ago my air conditioning stopped working. By that, I mean that it would blow air, but the air wouldnt be cold. Then yesterday my heater stopped working in the same way, so now my car blows the same temp air out the vents regardless of the setting. Any help narrowing down the source would be great!
A: The A/C problem and the heater problem are probably not related...... but could be. They are both electrically controlled by the HIVAC control head. The cause of your A/C not blowing cold could be caused by alot of different things. The lack of heat also.
On your lack of heat issue..... There is something simple that you yourself may be able to check, that is, your coolant level in the radiator. If your coolant level is low (from a leak) there may not be enough coolant to circulate through the heater core and this may be the cause of your lack of heat. Make sure the engine is cold before attempting to check or have anyone else check the coolant level. If the coolant level is low
you will need to have the source of the leak fixed.

How do I tighten the alternator belt on a 1983 Buick LeSabre with the 305 V-8. I can get it loosened at the pivot bolt and at the two adjusting bolts, but can't fine the leverage to move the alternator enough to get the belt to tighten. Any ideas/solutions?

A: after you loosen the bolts stick a pry bar or crow bar between the alternator and apply pressure until the belt is tight then tighten the bolts
Q: What program can edit/change the onboard computer for a buick lesabre?
Its a 97 buick lesabre and i was wondering what kind of program i could put on a laptop and change some of the shift points, etc by directly connecting it to the car without buying a chip for it.

A: its a 97 which means its OBD2, which means there is no computer chip to change. search google for "obd2 tuner" and you should be able to find quite a few programs that will do it, some are free, too.
Q: What are your thoughts on a 1994 Buick LeSabre?
I have a choice between a 1994 Buick LeSabre with the 3.8 V6 which has 120k on the car, the car itself is beautiful, no rust, completely beautiful. And I could also pick a 1991 Ford Taurus, with 110k on the car and a little bit of rust but not too bad. The Buick is for $1100 and the Taurus is for $800. I have $1500 available to spend but don't want to have all of that stuck into repairs. What should I get????
A: You did not say what size engine the Ford has.
The Buick is a well built car and worth the money - but will still drink gas like a drunk. the Ford may or may not depends on the engine. The Ford has a history of annoying problems, not fatal. Mostly electrical .
Q: Can I swap the transmission from my buick lesabre to my buick riviera?
I need to know if i can use the transmission from my '96 buick Riviera to put in a 2000 Buick Lesabre. I know the transmissions are different model numbers. The Riv is a 4t60e and the lLesabre is a 4t65e but i don't know they got to the same basic drivetraint...with the 3.8 liter v6. The Riviera is supercharged so that may be the difference, but I don't know. could someone please tell me if i can do this?

I understand that anything is possible these days with automobiles. But I wanted to know what would I have to do (beef up, brace, change over, etc...) if I wanted to put a Grand National Motor into a 1985 Buick Lesabre? Q: Why does my Buick LeSabre chug and hesitate when it is first started?
I have a 1994 Buick LeSabre, that starts and runs fine, however. If it has sat overnight or for a long period of time, when started it mildly revs up and down and "chugs". We live at the bottom of a small valley, and when starting to drive it, uphill, it will not accelerate properly and hesitates around 20 mph and will not go faster until I get to the top of the hill and then the engine sounds like it is running fine and I have no more problems for the rest of the ride, no matter how long or short. Recently, the battery guage has been lighting up red when it does that and goes away after the car gets running right. What is causing this acceleration problem along with the "chugging" sound and sensation, with small little bursts of power and then backing down? Does my question even make sense, since I am not a mechanic or car specialist? Hope you understand.
A: You live in a valley? Try using a fuel line drying agent that is added to your gas tank. Sounds like there may be moisture in your fuel system. I like the idea of a tune up on the spark system, plugs wires roter and cap.
If the vehicle is running at lower than normal operating rpms, the vehicle will want to die and will light up the battery light.
You may also have a clogged or patially clogged injector. Another thing to look at is the last time you had your fuel filter changed. If it is dirty, with no fuel moving through the dirt can crystalize and cause poor passage of the fuel. Once ran for a while it could clear up on it's own but will eventually clog totally and not run at all.

I have a 1992 buick lesabre with the dynaride system in it. I have had no problems with it recently, ran fine, my anti lock brake light and security light had come on but was running fine came home from work shut the car off and went outside the next night to go to work and won't start. The radio and lights all come on. But my brake pedal is very hard to push it seems like it is locked up. Could this be the starter or an electrical problem or something to do with the anti lock brake system?
