Q: What are the biggest rims you can put on a 2006 Buick Lucerne?
can you put 22'' rims on a 2006 buick lucerne without causing any problems or are 20's the biggest you should go?

A: Go to a rim shop and tell them that you are a serious shopper and ask them to put 20's with low pro tiers. Usally they are real wide, wider than your wheel well, check the clearance from the top of your tire to the bottom of well. Every time you break your front end dips and it depends on how stiff your sespendsion is. If the driffence is to small you can buy a "baby" lift kit that will raise your ride 2" inches. If you do 22" invest in a big lift lit. I don't mean a Donk lift but see what you need. The bigger the better. And dont let anybody hate on you, You like it do it!

Q: Why does GM's 3800 Series II motor in the LaSabre get better mileage than the Series III in the Buick Lucerne?
I want a technical solution as to why the Series III 3800 motor doesn't get as good mileage as the Series II motor. Any good answers to get better mileage in Lucerne.

A: when different cars have the same enginge you must take into account the weight of the car, components used to make the engine & tranny, the gear ratios may be set at higher shift points. the lesabre was toned down shift wise due to the nature (luxury) of the car. i have a 02 bonneville n/a and will SMOKE almost anything in the same class. but to get better milage in the lucerne, drive with o/d on, and keep as less amount of ppl in the car as necessary. lol.

Q: Do you have a hadling problem with your new Buick Lucerne?
Mine pulls to the right on acceleration and is all over the road at 30 mph and higher.

A: I have a 1995 Buick Century. I have more than 215,000 miles on it and have owned it 8 years. Have not had any major mechanical problems. Only gave it regular maintenence. It still runs as strong as the day i got it. American cars are not crap...

Q: Anyone know when the 2007 Buick Lucerne will start selling at dealerships in Southern California?
If so what kinds of promotional deals will be there? (You can see that I'm targeting those who work for the Dealerships, or GM)

A: Gor recalled, all defective, had buick name on it.

Q: Should I consider buying a Buick Lacrosse, Buick Lucerne, or any Chevy Malibu or Impala?
I have been driving a Volvo 850 for the past 12 years (now have almost 240,000 miles on it). My friend, the mechanic, said I should consider a General Motors vehicle as my next car because the warranty is better than that available on Volvo's.

A: I've got 2 Olds Cutlass Cieras (GM), one with 184,000 miles on it and it's still running strong. I've had very good experiences with other GM vehicles in the past as well. The new 2008 Chevy Malibu is a very nice car. It's getting alot of good press. Watch this video- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJI71XNi0-Q The Impala is less exciting, but a good, solid vehicle with lots of room and comfort. I know a traveling salesman who got a LaCrosse a couple years ago. He puts 40 or 50,000 miles on it annually and really likes it. I have no first-hand Lucerne experience, although I've read good things about it. Buick's quality ratings are tied for #1 with Lexus in JD Power. Absolutely, consider these cars, go see them and make your decision.

Q: What is the song in the new buick lucerne commercials?

A: that buick song is actually done by the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble.

Q: What are the little square looking things on the side of the Buick Lucerne and Enclave called.?

A: I don't know what they are called, but if you see three on a side it means it has a V6 engine. And if it has four, it has a V8. They may be called "portholes". I saw something on a classic car show on the Speed Channel about it.

Q: roof width of buick lucerne for ski racks?
Does anyone know the roof width for a 2007/2008 Buick Lucerne? i need to buy ski racks for it that will fit Thanks

A: I would check with the dealer - they typically have after market add-ons to offer that they already know will work with the line of automobiles they sell. The Lucerne has a curved roof, so you will want to be sure to buy a set that is guaranteed to work. Good luck!

Q: Can the 2006 Buick Lucerne cxl V 6 run on REGULAR unleaded Gas without any harm to the motor?
With the price of gas these days I need to be sure before I buy a new car

A: Not only will it run on regular, it is recommended. "Lucerne Standard and Optional Features" http://www.gmcanada.com/english_migrated/vehicles/buick/lucerne/luce_opti.jsp "Recommended fuel: Unleaded regular (87 octane)" 2006 Buick Lucerne: Reviews & Specs - CXL V6 4dr Sedan (3.8L 6cyl 4A) http://www.edmunds.com/new/2006/buick/lucerne/100516978/ratings_consumer.html "... (the Lucerne takes 87 octane)." "2006 Buick Lucerne First Drive" http://www.autoweb.com/content/shared/articles/templates/index.cfm/article_page_order_int/3/article_id_int/896 "In CX guise, the 2006 Lucerne is powered by GM’s oldie-but-a-goody 3.8-liter, overhead valve, 12-valve V6 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission of similar vintage. ... Regular 87 octane gas works just fine with an EPA fuel economy rating of 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway." .

Q: is there anyway i can search online who has the best deals on the buick lucerne?
i think it would make it a lot easier if i new who had the best deals and who had what special...also what do you think of the car

A: Why would you buy ANYTHING Buick??? I say stick with Honda, Acura, Toyota, Nissan... something along the lines of that

Q: Will 22's fit on a buick lucerne without a lift?

A: Nope... largest you will fit is 20" without fender modification or lift. If you put 20" or larger wheels on something its wise to upgrade your brakes as well. Bigger the wheel the heavier it is. Heavy = harder to turn and harder to stop it from going.

Q: can you put a buick navigation system in the buick lucerne?

A: no

Q: Buick Lucerne Reliability?
Can someone tell me why all i have ever heard of American cars is that they are terrible in reliabilty, yet all of a sudden a discover the Buick Lucerne, which scored a 10 out of 10 in reliability by JD power and associates. It looks really nice, although i would strip off the Buick labels before driving it.

A: General Motors' V6 Buick Lucerne had Consumer Reports' Average Reliability Verdicts for model years 2006 and 2007. See page 87 of the April 2008 issue of Consumer Reports. And General Motors' Buick line's 2009 Composite Reliability Average is +.03, on a scale of -1.00 to 1.00. For reference, Toyota's Scion's 2009 Composite Reliability Average is +.83, Toyota's Lexus' is +.82, Toyota's Toyota's is +.79, Honda's Honda's is +.79, and Honda's Acura's is +.70. See: http://www.AutoOnInfo.net/NAEd200812TheCompositeReliabilityLineAverages.htm . For a good, but somewhat technical, article on the value of J.D. Power studies, see "Gleaning Value from J.D. Power Studies: An Index of Total Cluelessness?" at: http://www.AutoOnInfo.net/NAEd200708GleaningValuefromJDPowerStudies.htm .

Q: Does anyone have a Buick Lucerne?
Can you give me a review of your experience? I rented one and I couldn't her any road noise.

A: I work as a service advisor at a Buick dealership, and the Lucerne is the car we have to repair the least. Every owner I have met and come into contact with at the dealership absolutely loves their Lucerne. The quality of the build, and of course Buick's smooth ride makes the Lucerne a great car.

Q: The headrest in my rental Buick Lucerne pushes my head forward. Can I adjust its position or remove it? ?

A: All you need to do is pull the headrest forward and then you can reset it to any position..
