Q: I own a 2009 Cadillac SRX and am unable to access my Owner's Manual on the Owner Center website. Why?
I've tried to access the owner's manual for my new 2009 Cadillac SRX online but have had no success for over a month now.
A: maybe the website is down, contact your GM dealer and see if they can access it.
Q: What type of fuel does the cadillac srx 2008 use?
what type if you were to fill it up.. dont tell me the mpg and that it uses gas.. (what type of gas)?
A: knowing which brand of gas the car like to use and what type it want to run best off of is something the drive has to find out... not every car or brand type of gas is the same.. and gas varies from state to state.. what you do is start with place you buy fuel from every week fill up with what ever you been or they top octane.. set the mileage and drive it out then try the next type and do the same.. remember which gets you the best miles.... then go to another place try another brand and do the same start with their highest octane set the mileage.. you wil find one brand andor type that gets you the best mileage for the buck...be it high octane or regular... only real way of knowing which is better... my nissan like shell high octane but mobil regular and gets the same mileage from both.. thats what you need to know what gets the best mileage... been driving 40 years been working on cars just about as long.. you know by checking types and brands and use what gets you the best mileage
Q: How do you program your seats in a Cadillac SRX?
I can't figure out, for the life of me, how to program the dang seats to return to the settings I want when I start the car!! I'm pretty sure it has the option (it has the 1 and 2 for 2 different drivers). I've looked in the manual, etc., but I can't figure the crap out!! Does anyone know?! THANKS!
A: Set everything where you want it, (mirrors, seats,) and hold down on the driver 1 button. Hold down untill it beeps twice (or three times) It should then save that setting.
If that does not work, I suggest you check with your dealer.
Q: How do you change a front turn signal on a 2006 cadillac srx?
A: good luck, this is a real pain. either remove the front bumper or inner fender well. or try to gently bend the bumper to remove the headlight, then remove cover over turn signal bulbs with a torx bit. replace bulb reinstalled all

The hitch for your SRX (will not fit with sport package fascia) is #75174 - $198.78
There is no drilling required for installation, but minor heat shield modification may be required.

The hitch is rated to tow up to 3,500 lbs weight carrying and 5,000 lbs weight distributing. Which means you'd have to get a weight distribution set up like this - http://store.drawtite.com/dt7903.html in order to pull the heavier weight of 5,000 lbs.

The wiring will need to be wired to the battery. Your vehicle has LED taillights, so make sure you get a harness that is made for LED Lights.

A: Not unless its a small horse and trailer. Its based on the a car so it tows like one.
Standard towing is 2,000 lbs
Max towing is 4,250 lbs
If you want to tow that much weight you at least need a mid size truck based SUV.
Q: im going to get a Cadillac CTS or a Cadillac SRX, which is a better all-around vehicle?
Just curious I've been debating for months!
A: I love both. My sister has the SRX (the mini-van style right?) and she loves it. I have driven it multiple times. I think the CTS is sporti-er but it has less storage room.
Q: Anyone own a Nissan Armada or a Cadillac SRX Suv?
I am looking to purchase one of these two vehicles and I was going to see if there were any owners out there that had likes or dislikes with these cars? I want something safe and comfortable for my children. I have already been to the government safety sites, but I wanted first hand opinions from real owners. I really like roomy vehicles with space in the back seat. Thanks!!
A: I owned 2 SRX's and a friend has an Armada which I have driven a few times. They are both safe vehicles, however they do drive differently.
The SRX is built on the CTS Sigma Chassis, which means it's an SUV body built on a car. The Armada is a full size SUV on a truck chassis, the Titan.
Both have V8's with the Nissan having 317hp and the SRX having the Northstar 320hp V8, although the SRX comes standard with a 255hp V6. You would want to compare the Armada LE model to the SRX in order to get the leather, heated seats, and memory seating which is standard on the SRX.
Basically, the SRX has a smoother ride with an even power delivery. The 3rd row is pretty much useless, but the Ultra-View sunroof in a great option. This is a good choice and is a solid car, however Cadillac is coming out with a new SRX for 2010, which could effect the resale value, but if you keep it 4 or more years, then it won't matter.
The Armada is a powerful SUV that has great interior room like the first 2 rows of the SRX, however the Armada seems easier to get in and out of. It is also exactly 1 foot longer than the SRX.
They are both good vehicles and respectible in their individual classes. Good luck and I hope this helps.

Q: I have a cadillac SRX 2004, and I would like to put some custom touches on it, like tail lights or headlights.
But I cant find many places that sell custom aftermarket products for this car.... I want something that is different, but still classy looking - know where I can get these?
A: The headlights on your SRX are sealed beam and there are no afetrmarket options for them. The same goes for the tail lights, they're LED already, and there's no modifications for them. Try doing a custom grille, or something off of these sites:

A: Yes, there are quite a few websites that feature virtually all production vehicles (also try an internet search for "car research") to research and/or purchase.
The SRX will have a redesigned interior for 2007, but probably won't have a major exterior redesign until at least the 2008, 2009, or even not until the 2010 model year.

My little sister is getting a Cadillac SRX but do you think it will bring a lot of attention from other people? My sis is somewhat attractive always have boys coming around do you think having a Cadillac will bring her too much attention? Our parents think girls should drive better car to avoid those losers (driving somewhat crappy cars but hitting on pretty gals on the road that kinda losers), but what's your opinion?

I plan on buying in a few days and it covers the bases for me as far as space for 2 children, luxury, and looks...plus it is moderately good on gas. Good for winter also!
A: The Cadillac SRX, or Sport (S) Recreational (R) Crossover (X) is considered a mid-size luxury crossover vehicle. For someone such as yourself with a family an SRX can be an ideal compromise between luxury, sport, and roominess.
The SRX is a front-engined, rear-wheel drive vehicle, although it is also available in all-wheel drive. The SRX uses the same chassis as the 2004-2007 CTS, so it has a great ride and handles well. You can get either the excellent 3.6L DOHC VVT high-feature V6 engine or the 320 hp 4.6L V8 Northstar engine. Either engine is a good choice.
The SRX is being re-designed for 2010. Cadillac is also introducing a CTS Sport Wagon in 2010, which is more of a station wagon.
Cadillac has rated very well in initial and 4-year quality scores for these vehicles. One thing to look for is a certified pre-owned SRX purchased from a Cadillac dealer will have a warranty out to 100K miles or 6 years. You can also purchase an extended warranty from GMPP for any Cadillac still under warranty.
