Im thinking of getting one. But I cant decide over the GMC Canyon or Chevrolet Colorado. What would you recomend?
A: Get the Canyon.
I was told by a State Park Superintendent who Government ordered GMC trucks because the GMCs were built with better fittings, gaskets, bushings, etc.
Otherwise, They're the same truck.

The hub does not have a hole in the center so it will not fit on a

A: take them to a auto parts store and have them turn for you, about $10.00 a wheel, hope that helps.

Q: Bought a Chevrolet Colorado. No lock on passenger side. Failure to disclose by Chevrolet. What can I do?
We bought a new Chevrolet Colorado. Were not told there was no lock on passenger side (big inconvenience). Chevrolet dealer has not returned calls, nor eMails, nor letters. Totally ignored us. Contacted Chevrolet in Detroit; said they can do nothing, up to local dealer. This is failure to disclose (perhaps falls under lemon law). What can we do? We sent a registered letter to both dealer and Detroit Chevrolet. Dealer didn't respond, nor did he return about ten (10) phone messages. Each time we went back to dealership, he conveniently was never there. Do we have any hopes of getting compensation?
A: Some manufacturers are deleting pass door key lock cylinder and also tailgate cylinder.Wether it cuts produstion cost or just seeing the lack of use for these lock ylinderrs due to keyless entry. The door still has a lock, just no keyed entry. I would suggest getting keyless entry.Dealer isnt responsible to tell you every detail about vehicle,it is up to you to do homework. As far as no return calls, that is bad business.Maybe you cna get them to cut you a deal on the keyless entry.
Q: Does my 2005 Chevrolet Colorado have a PCV Valve?
I own a 2005 chevy colorado that idles rough for the first 2 - 5 minutes when i start it. i regularly change the oil, oil filter, air filter, and fuel filter. other than that, i have never had any work done to it and someone suggested i change the PCV Valve. i haven't been able to find one online and am wondering if there is even one available. Sometimes technolgoies disappear as newer methods are discovered and am wondering if this is the case.
A: Of course it does. The positive crankcase ventialtion valve will be located on one of the valve covers. It probably is not yet damaged, as they usuallt last for years. Some times they are located on the rear of the intake manifold, and some 80s mustangs had them on the side of the block, but yours will be the vacuum tube going to the larger piece on your valve cover.

Q: I am looking for a wiring diagram for a 2007 chevrolet colorado truck; where can I find one?
I am tryin to install a remote starter on the truck. I have all the parts for installation, just needing the appropriate wiring diagrams.
A: Pay a visit to your local Chevrolet dealer. The service dept. will be glad to help you out as they want to make sure you don't screw something up by getting into some pretty delicate circuits which there are lots of. In this day and age you have to know what you are doing when working on the electrcal circuits or big dollar things can just go poof and guess who pays. Sure is not warranty.
Q: What is better a 2007 Chevrolet Colorado LT four door, or a 2001 Dodge Ram Single Cab?
A: You're getting a brand new vehicle with the Chevy, the Dodge might need some repairs in the next few years - nothing major, but stuff like Alternator, Starter, Oxygen Sensor, ect.
Q: how do i reset the oil change reminder on a 2004 chevrolet colorado pickup?
it's the base truck
A: Your owners manuel should tell you. Look under maintenance. My cars have had the little digital window display...with an info button and a reset button....I have to push for like 10 seconds to enter a setup mode of sorts...yours prob does the same thing, but then my car is a honda....Do youhave the digital display being a base model? it is worth trying.
Look in the book....Sometimes if you just go to the dealer's repair dept...they will just do it for free, it is worth asking.
Q: Can you use parts from a Chevrolet Colorado or GMC Canyon on an Isuzu I-290?
A: The parts sure better be interchangeable, seeing as how all of those Isuzu pickups roll off of the Canyon/Colorado assembly line.
In truth, the Canyon/Colorado is actually based on a jointly-developed platform that was originally sold overseas as the Isuzu D-MAX – however, on the version that was later built here in the United States, General Motors swapped-in their own engines and restyled the body… but the platform itself is virtually identical.
Due to something called the Chicken Tax, Isuzu sells the GM version here in the US (rather than their version that is built in Thailand). Basically, it is far too cost prohibitive for Isuzu to sell the D-MAX in the United States – so, to save themselves the tariff, they simply slapped an Isuzu emblem on the domestically-produced Canyon/Colorado instead.
