what would the insurance rate be on a 15 year old male for a 2005 chevrolet corvette coupe? this is the first car for him also.
A: well being as youhave to be 16 to drive it would be impossible. Also if he was 16,male the insurance will be about $300+ a month. NO young kid needs a car like this, he will do something idiotic and hurt himself or someone else.
Q: Why are the Chevrolet Corvette's not a everyday driving car??
I know few people with a Chevrolet Corvette and they tell me that they don't drive it all the time.. Why is that?? They cost to much just to let it sit there...
A: Well its a great car ofcoarse.
It has a 6.2L V8 and 430hp..and with upgrades you can get an a 7L engine wich has 530 hp. Its a great fast beautfiul car and can go as fast as ferraris and other luxury racing cars but much more affordable. Even though its a great car its not an everday car because it eats up gas like CRAZY and with gas prices so high your not gonna want to sit in traffic burning fuel and being able to go as fast. For everyday use you need a reliable car with good gas milage and maybe even enviromentaly friendly. Make your corvette a weekend car, maybe for going out or w/e. Enjoy but dont use it as an everydya car. Its waay too good for that.

I am looking to purchase a 2005 Corvette with 29,500 miles for $30,000. Are there any common problems with this car or anything I should watch out for???

A: I had two 06 C6s. I was disspointed. I didnt like the way the convertible top unlatched on one.. (you had to twist this handle) The nav screen didnt work when cold or would work intermiitently and they could never figure it out. Finally, the nav screen broke and they replaced the unit and it worked great. The hardtop had a harness problem. apparently during assembly someone had routed a wire wrong and so, in about 100 miles it wore throught the insulation and caused a PCM fault. This took 5 trips to the dealer to get fixed. This car aso had other misc probs.
One thing you should know, Corvettes need special care and attention when you change the oil. The jacking points are specific.
The cars were fun.. but I eventually traded them off for a Porsche 911 S Cab.

A: i own a repair shop,and you need to raise them up,and leave them up,and you should be able to go from behind them,or up through the bottom,and twist the socket out that holds the bulb in,,be care full and don't touch the new one with your fingers,and replace them,,there not bad to do you just don't want to get the oil from your skin on the new bulbs,it shortens the life of them,good luck,i hope this help,s.

A: I'm no expert on Canadian prices, but, fortunately, most of the Canadian prices are listed online. Just add 10 or 20% to the few US figures I give.
BMWs start at $33,900 Canadian and Mercedes at just under $30,000 Canadian. Both brands top out at over $150,000 Canadian.
Your basic Corvette is going to run you $65,205 Canadian. Faster versions like the Z06 the ZR1 cost $93,775 and $126,605 Canadian, respectively.
The Boxter is the least expensive Porsche, but even it costs $58,100 Canadian. The classic Porsche, the Carrera, starts at $94,800 Canadian and can cost more than $400,000 US in its rarest form, the Carrera GT, though you hardly ever see them on the road.
Ferraris and Lamborghinis are by far the priciest of the group, and typically cost $300,000 - $500,000 US, with at least one model, the Lamborghini Reventon costing more than $1,000,000 US. This astronomical price tag is owed to its rarity as much as it is to its mechanical sophistication.
The Vanquish is a very rare car. I do not know how expensive they are.

Q: How do I change the radiator on my 1969 Chevrolet Corvette?
A: you have one good answer so far, but yours is a vette and they are just a little harder to do then any other car GM put out, one is cause your radiator is installed on a angel, but here is how its done, drain the radiator and remove the recovery and upper hose from the radiator, if this is not an L88 then you will have a fan shroud but the L88 it did not have one,if its not the L88 there will be a radiator baffle bracket that hold the shroud and youll see the bolts on top, remove the ones that bolt to the radiator not the shroud as youll have to take it off and put it on the new radiator and left up just a little as the shroud just sets in a channel on the bottom onces its out just let the shroud hang on the fan, then remove the lower hose and if its an automatic trans remove the trans cooling lines and you only have to plug the return line thats the bottom one then theres two radiator upper support brackets with two bolts in each one, and now just left up slow.
if you call around you may find a radiator shop that will recore your radiator, i just had one done and it only cost me $80.00 to have it recored.
when your putting this back in the radiator just sets in a channel with two rubber mounts on each side make sure they are in place and in good shape, then bolt the brackets back on, then the lower hose and trans lines, then the shroud and recovery hose, and then the upper hose and your done but i would think about replacing the t-stat when you do this as it may save you from draining some of the antifreeze back off to replace it.
one more thing if this is an auto trans check your trans fluid as you just pulled your radiator, so you just lost some trans fluid from that and make share the motor and trans has had time to warm up befor you check it.

My girlfriends uncle has an old 1972 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible and its in bad shape, i've never seen it its out on her grandparents farm in Winnipeg but apparently looks like a cow ran into the back end... How hard would u say it would be to repair it, is it worth it...i've done work on cars but nothing to this degree and I only know the minimal things. Its been kept outside too for years only covered by a car cover and a tarp. How much would it cost, any ideas?
A: The car has a fiber glass body. If you're planning on doing your own repairs and do not have previous experience with this type of material, don't even think about it.
