Q: Is the 2005 Chevrolet Equinox a good car?
Hi there I am looking into purchase a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox. Just wondering for the price is it a good, safe SUV, and is what is the fuel effeicentcy? Or what would you suggest for around the same price?
A: The Equinox isn't the best small SUV at the pump. The official window sticker wasn't even close to actual performance. My customers are averaging 17-20 across the board when they were rated between 19-24. The Buick Rendezvous is a good alternative. Fuel economy is better along with construction quality. There are less rattles and the option for a 3rd row seat makes a huge difference.
Q: Anyone know the dealer price for a chevrolet equinox?
I am thinking of getting a Chevrolet Equinox, either an 06 or 07, either way, no miles on them. My question is for anyone who may know the average amount that a dealer buys this vehicle for? What is a good estimate of what the car dealership paid for this vehicle? IE, how much money do they have tied up in this vehicle?

A: Invoice price, minus a 3-5 percent holdback. If you dealer is honest and fair they should sell you ANY NEW equinox for INVOICE PRICE. Don't let them fool you they are still making money and you aren't getting ripped off. If they are fair they will show you the invoice, and if you take your time you can figure it out. Invoice price its as big as day on there, but near the bottom you find things like advertisings costs and marketing costs (etc.) and that is the holdback and don't expect the dealer to give that up, however you can try. Thank you for buying an Amercan car and I hope you enjoy it for many years.

Q: Where is the Subwoofer in the Chevrolet Equinox?
I want to know where they put the subwoofer in the 2006 Equinox. Does anyone know where a pic is of it online maybe?
A: This is the text from SI Document #1267385. You can contact your local GM dealer and ask them to print it off for you (pics won't show here) or if the vehicle is under warranty mileage still, you should be able to bring it in for repair. If you wouldlike send me an email asking for the document and I'll email it over to you. Send a message withthe subject " Need SI Document 1267385" so I'll know what it is and not delete the message as junk mail.

Removal Procedure
Remove the rear quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Lower Trim Panel Replacement .
Remove the rear speaker fasteners.
Disconnect the electrical connectors from the speaker.
Remove the speaker from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Install the speaker into the vehicle.
Connect the electrical connectors to the speaker.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
Install the fasteners to the speaker.
Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).
Install the rear quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Lower Trim Panel Replacement .
Q: how do you adjust/where are the adjusters for the headlights on a 2005 chevrolet equinox?
I have a 2005 chevy equinox and I just replaced the headlight bulbs and they are out of adjustment but can't see where the adjustments are to get the lights back where I want them.

Look for 4 screws in a square pattern, with a key-shaped hole in the middle. Below and to the left or right is is a bolt, looks to be holding the headlight assembly. Just beside that bolt, deeper in, is the vertical adjustment screw. There is no horizontal adjustment.

A: Same vehicle, different name for the country it is sold in. BTW, I bought an Equinox 5 weeks ago, and I LOVE IT! I average 19-20 mpg, with mostly in town driving.

A: Actually a nice vehicle. More car than truck as are most new 'crossover' vehicles. While looking at the Equinox you should also see the Pontiac Torrent and the Suzuki XL7. All three are basically the same vehicle built on the same assembly line. BETCHADIDNTKNOWTHAT!
Q: How do you change the headlight lightbulb on a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox?
A: Not much help with those other answers, huh? Let's try this. You need to remove the headlamp. Kinda dumb, I know, but it's not that hard. First we gotta remove that trim piece that clips on in the middle of the headlight. Raise the hood and find the 4 push-in retainers that go along the top of the front grille. Then when you pop off that trim on the headlight you will have a little room to work with. Remove those retainers. Get a flat-bladed screwdriver and a rag, place the rag above or below the trim on the headlight. The rag will protect the headlight from getting scratched when you pry up on the trim with the screwdriver. The trim will pop out towards you. That should give you enough room to remove the headlight. There are two hex-headed screws right on top you can easily see holding the headlight and then one more if you lean in and look down further. Remove the 3 bolts. Now just wiggle and lift up on the headlight and it should come loose. You may need to unplug the side marker bulb wiring to give you more room. Keep the rag wrapped around the trim piece to again avoid scratching the headlamp. Then you will see the big round black plug cover to turn and remove to gain access to the bulb. The bulbs are halogen type bulbs so don't touch them with your hands. The oils from your skin will cause the bulbs to burn out prematurely. Use a clean cloth to handle the bulbs. Reinstall the headlamp the same way you removed it. You will see how it goes back in once you get it out.

Insert an awl into the guide hole.
Pull up to remove the head restraint.
Installation Procedure:
Position the restraint in the head restraint guides.
Push downward to install the head restraint.
Pull up on the restraint to ensure that the restraints are locked in place.
Q: What is your opinion or the opnions of others that you have heard about the Chevrolet Equinox?
A: I owned one and I loved it. But I traded it for a Chevy HHR when the price of gas went up, and I wanted a standard shift. I highly recommend the Equinox if you want an SUV, and there are 2 different sizes. Also a luxury model of both the above. The Equinox is not heavy on gas, but the HHR is lighter.
