Q: How do I get my hatch open from my key on my 2005 Chrysler Pacifica?
I bought a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica base model, and on my key it has the unlock, lock, and hatch button. The unlock and lock works, but I cant get my latch to open. Can anyone help me figure this out?
A: If you bought the base model, then it does not have the automatic hatch open and close feature...it sounds like they gave you the wrong keyfob (was the keyfob a replacement?). To open the hatch, you just push the unlock button, and then manually open it (the button is just above the license plate).
Q: How accessible is the 3rd row seats in the 06/07 Chrysler Pacifica?
We are soon to be a family of 5 (kids:4,3,&infant). I'm trying to stay away from a minivan. I like the Chrysler Pacifica. How accesible is the 3rd row for kids? Atleast 1 of my preschoolers will be riding back there all the time. Is it easy to get in & out? Also, is 2nd row console removable?
A: the third row is accessible because the second row seats are adjustable but with the child seats attached it's easier to just let one of the children go to the back via climbing over the seat (2nd row) instead of moving the chair.
this vehicle has terrible rear visibility and parking is difficult without the electronic assist. The blind spots can be overcome with the mirrors but you need to be careful when changing lanes etc.
When your using the third row seat you have no space for storage and with full load the engine seems underpowered.
the mpg is poor 17 avg.
i'd recomend buying the
Honda Pilot
Ford Taurus X
Saturn Outlook
GMC Acadia
they all have third row seats that can hold adults.

I have a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica. I want to play my ipod through the RCA jacks that are part of the DVD player. I do not have a DVD screen, headphones or remote. I have a cable that plays Ipod throguh all other RCA jacks just fine.
A: Did you change the radio to the DVD option by pressing the mode button until it shows DVD?

Q: What will the cost for a tune up on a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica run?
I have an AWD 2004 Chrysler Pacifica with 60k on it. I was wondering what a tune up would run (plugs and wires, coolant flush, and a fuel filter) everything else has already been services
A: Ok your plugs are good for 100K miles as well as your coolant also. There are no wires the 3.5L has coil on plug system. There is not a fuel filter that you can change it is integral to the fuel pump and for the most part the pump will go before the filter. Things that might need to be addressed are the AWD power transfer unit service and also the transmission service. This will cost about 150 or so at the dealer.
Q: What is the brand of dvd MONITOR that is normally installed on 2004 Chrysler Pacifica?
My pacifica came with a lovely dvd player with no brand name on it, but it didn't have a monitor.
Someone told me that other brands won't work with the factory installed player, just so Chrysler can get away with charging over $1000 to install only their monitor for you.
(It is an in-dash player).
Any idea where I can buy that brand, and have it installed cheaper?
Thanks!
A: Contact some stereo or car audio shops in your area.
They should have a monitor that can connect to it. They may need an adapter to hook it up, but they'll know what is needed and will be able to give an accurate estimate. They run into these things often, some dealers even use local shops for installs like this to save money.
Since you need a monitor only, it will be quite a bit less than having to buy a DVD player/monitor combo. I would guess, for an 8 or 9 inch overhead screen, you'd be looking at around $400 installed. I wouldn't recommend trying to install it yourself unless you've got experience doing so.
Q: Can the OEM tint on a Chrysler Pacifica be undarkened (lightened)?
The standard window tint on the rear/side windows of a Chrysler Pacifica is too dark. Is there anyway to lighten the degree of tint in these windows that were tinted at the factory?
A: Absolutely not. The tint was applied by the glass manufacturer in the inter-layer. It is what it is.
Q: Dependability issues with the Chrysler Pacifica?
I would like to know if people with the 2007 Chrysler Pacifica are experiencing any major repair issues or if the car is doing great. Any other comments about the pacifica would be great. Also considering Toyota Sienna, but you can get a lot more pacifica for the price.
A: there have been no major issues with these. the older ones had mostly carry over drivetrain parts, and all the electrical parts are minivan parts. the newer ones have the new 6 speed auto, there have been a couple minor problems here and there but nothing to worry about. the newest engine option is the same v6 bored out a little, so it shouldn't have any problems either.
Q: Need detailed directions to replace spark plugs of chrysler pacifica.......?
I own a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica and I think the spark plugs need to be replaced. I am pretty good with mechanics but I am looking for some detailed instructions on how to replace them. Can anyone help me or direct me to a website that can assist? Thanks!!!
A: Sure try mitchell or alldata, good luck.
Q: Chrysler Pacifica?
i am thinking of purchasing one..does any one have an honest opinion of them? IE great crossovers...or dont waste your money? I want to hear all of your insight! thanks :)
A: Chrysler Pacifica is a great car. I would suggest it if you would like to buy or lease a car around 30 grand. This car is great if you don't like all that noise and bumpyness from outside, very quiet and smooth ride. Has average gas mileage. And it is not a waste of money, it is good for the value. Some like the limited touring even come with awsome 19" CHROME wheels and the car itself is very stylish. Just go to chrysler.com and see the details.
To me this is a Excellent car for the $$ (Lease), I dont know why it would break down, mine has not had any problems.
These are my opinions.
Q: 05 Chrysler pacifica, Anyone know how to clear the AC drain line ?
I have an 05 Pacifica, and among the many issues Chrysler created , there seems to be a problem with the AC drain line clogging??? According to others in order to keep water from getting onto the passenger side carpet I have to unclog the line. This line is supposedly under the passenger side of the car??? Can't find it. Anyone have any helpful clues as to where it may be and how to clear this issue? Thanks
A: All you need to do to clear the condensation line for the A/C system is find something stiff like coat hanger wire, 10 gauge electrical wire or thicker, or anything of that nature. The drain normally comes out through the fire wall just above the floor pan on the passenger side of the car. It should be a black rubber hose pointing downwards.
Q: High mileage for an 05 Chrysler Pacifica?
We are looking to buy a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica. It has 67K miles. Is that a lot for a Chrysler nowadays? How long can I expect to drive this before it starts having a lot of problems?
A: It boils down to the price.. if you get it cheap enough then it is worth it, .... check with the prevous owner and ask them if they had any problems with it..... you should beable to get it pretty cheap!! and as long as you do regular maintanance on your cars nowadays they will take care of you!!! I'll bet that most of those miles are all highway miles, so that don't really hurt a thing.... and if you are worried about it have the dealer throw in an extended warrenty for a couple years!
Q: we have a 2006 chrysler pacifica and had to have the lifters repaired?
our pacifica has 50,000+ miles, it very well taken care of and the lifters started knocking. the dealership said the come lose and are no longer adjustable, they have to be replaced to the tune of $800.00. this sounds like a recall item to me. anyone had this problem?
A: Go immediatly to your local Automotive Protection Agency or Consummer Protection Agency. They owe you a new engine. The engine cannot be fixed and the dealer should have told you that. What has happened is the cam shaft has woren out. That is a manufacturer's defect. It happens when the cam lobe casings are not properly applied or the material that was used was too soft. Your dealer is a crook and you should go after him. He's going to charge you $800.00 for a camshaft that will only give you more problems, then send your old camshaft back to the manufacturer and collect $2000.00 plus because it was warrantied for 120,000 miles. If you let him do the work you will get the car back with a reduced warranty of about 10,000 miles and by that time your engine will be scrap.
Q: How do you remove the head unit on a Chrysler Pacifica?
I'm looking to install a Parrot LS-3200L Bluetooth kit in a 2005 Pacifica, but I have no idea how to get behind the stereo in order to install it.
A: Check out the link below. It provides the instructions. It isn't free, but it will save you alot of time and frustration.
