Q: Whats the difference between all Dodge Challengers?
I was looking at the Dodge challenger cars. All of them look the same why are they all at different prices?? I looked at the Dodge challenger RT 2009, SRT-8 2009, and the SE 2009 what are the differences in them?
A: I sell them, and the difference in price is the different engines. Of course, the SE is base model, it's a V6 engine, then you have your R/T and your SRT-8, the SRT of course being the 6.1l HEMI. There aren't alot of options on one of these, there is an upgraded tire package, the sunroof, the My GIG with Nav, these are all options. Also, keep in mind that since these are so new and alot of dealerships aren't even getting one, they are going for above sticker alot of places.
Q: How much is the family discount for dodge?
My grandpa reitred from Dodge, and I was wondering if anyone knows how much the discount is off a new Dodge. I think its the invoice price but I am not sure. If anyone knows anything I would appericate it.
A: it depends on the car my father in law is a chrysler retiree i bought a 05 rumble bee truck for 22500 out the door it had a sticker of 39786 i bought a caliber and only saved 1500 bucks the general rule is 10% off of sticker dealers can work a little more if they want also there are different rebates avaible
Q: What could make a 1996 Dodge Dakota crank sometimes and not others?
I bought a wrecked 1995 Dodge Dakota. (Its not that bad. Just the right fender and light) It will crank once and a while but most of the time it wont crank at all. It always turns over though. The fuel pump is fine and so is the ignition coil. It got hit on the side where the computer is so I'm wondering if I need to replace that. Can anyone offer their opinions? Thanks so much.
A: check all your connections at the battery, the main pos to the starter and your grounds first. ps. to mechanics cranks and turns over mean the same NO offense
Q: How do I want to contact dodge trucks to get information on structual repairs.?
A body shop wants to repair my dodge dakota after a rollover. The cab was crushed-in a few inches they plan to cut part of a junkyard cab and weld and cosmetically fix it. I am concerned about the future structual integrety of the repaired cab. Will it hold up in another rollover? I don't want to find out the hard way.
A: Yes it will hold up and if the shop is worth their salt it will remain structurally sound. This is a common technique used by many reputable body shops, it is called sectioning. Most major insurance companies also accept this type of repair. If you are still concerned with this type of repair ask them if they can replace your cab with the whole cab from the salvage yard.

A: you,ll notice a slight oil leak coming form the shaft of the shock if its bad, and you can do the bounce test on it and if it bounces over three times it has a bad shock on it,if its busted it needs to be replaced,good luck.

A: no ,every car company there is right now is building standard shift models,you just have to look around for them,lots of new ones on the car lots are standard shift,good luck.
Q: How much is a replacement engine for a dodge stratus?
I own a 2001 Dodge Stratus ES and due to engine sludge, need a new engine. How much would a replacement be?
A: Since you're referring to oil sludge, I'll assume you have a 2.7 V6? If this is the case, look into swapping in a 3.2 or 3.5 V6 ( a more reliable engine ) instead. I'm not sure if it can be done on the Stratus ( or the other 'cloud' cars ) but it is supposedly a pretty easy swap on the Intrepid.

A: you can just replace the airbag you do not have to replace the whole steering wheel. and i suggest that you have a professional do this as it can be dangerous working with air bags
Q: How much work is it to replace a Dodge Caravan evaporator by yourself?
I have this old Dodge Caravan and the evaporator for the AC broke. I need to repair it and the dealer said it would cost over 1500 dollars! I don't have this cash so I'm thinking about doing it myself. I was wondering if it is a lot of work (like would I have to remove the Instrument Panel/dash board and do a lot of heavy lifting?) Also, is it very tedious and going to take a lot of time? Thanks.

Q: Need to replace the transmission in a 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan and I was quoted?
$1898 for a rebuilt tranny and $800 for the labor to put it in by a local Dodge dealer. Plus maybe a little more for fluids, etc. Anyone have any experience, does this sound like an ok deal? OH an dthe new tranny will have a 3 year or 100,000 mile warranty.
A: that is a mopr remanufactured unit. like you said, it has a 100,000 mile warranty. it will be better than the one you had in it, and better than anything that will come from a trans shop. stay away from trans shops or junkyard stuff. you get what you pay for. i put 4 junkyard transmissions in one car, and that last time the junkyard payed me to take it out a 5th time and rebuild it. i recently had a minivan come in that had just been to a trans shop. the trans shop sent them to me. i fixed the problem that they spent a couple thousand dollars trying to fix for $300. also the aftermarket parts are not normally close to the quality of the mopar stuff. you could have leaks and i guarantee it will not shift the same with aftermarket clutch material. 800 is a little steep for labor. it should be around 4-5 hours if i remember right.

I washed my 03 dodge 1500 at the car wash. I washed under the hood. It started up fine, but as I was going home it started missing. I let it set allnight to dry out. The next day it would not start. What could be the problem?

A: it could be the idle air control valve ?? it could be low on coolant,valve works off of coolant temp.
Q: What could be causing the oil pressure to drop in a 2000 Dodge Dakota?
A friend of mine took his 2000 Dodge Dakota ( automatic transmission ) to a garage to have it repaired because the oil pressure kept dropping, They changed the oil pump and cleaned out the tube connected to the oil pump. Oil pressure was fine while idling in the garage, but when they took it out for a test drive the oil pressure dropped again. So they took the truck to the local Dodge dealership to have them connect it to the computer to see what was wrong with it. Nothing at all showed up on the computer. So the garage still doesn't know what the problem is. Does anyone have any idea what's causing the oil pressure to drop?
A: The oil pressure needs to checked with a manual gauge. If it ok, replace the sender. If it is actually low, he has done damage to the bearings. This is most likely the case if the oil pressure is ok at idle but drops when driven. If they had to clean the oil pump pick up, that means that it was sludge starving the engine of oil while he was driving it. This wears the crank shaft bearings and opens up their clearance. With worn bearings the new oil pump may not be able to keep up. It could also have enough sludge in the oil return passages to slow down the drain back. The higher the rpm more oil is circulated and when sludge builds up it returns back to the pan slower. This can cause the oil pump to suck air and the pressure to drop out. The original shop should have started by checking the pressure with a manual gauge . When they replaced the oil pump they also should have removed some rod caps and main caps to check the bearing wear and crank shaft condition.
