A: If its the factory unit, look at the face of the unit and there should be 2 tiny little buttons (holes) on the front. One has an H (hours) next to it and one has an M (minutes). Use a paper clip or a pen and adjust the time.

2000 dodge avenger 2.5 V6 blower fan runs when key is out and car is off runs battery down i dont know if its a relay switch a fuse or the brain is bad anyone know what it might be thanks

A: Most likely it's the relay. They get build up on the contacts and then it sticks. Try tapping on it to see if the fan shuts off. Or see if there is another relay in there that is EXACTLY the same and temporarily swap them to see if that helps. If none of that works see if the fan stays on when the relay is removed. If so we need to dig deeper.

Q: would a strut bar for a Mitsubishi eclipse fit in a dodge avenger?
i've been looking for a strut bar for my 1997 dodge avenger but i can find any. however sombody told me that the Mitsubishi eclipse strut bar could fit in a dodge avenger so i just want to make sure.

A: It may fit, as the two are on very similar platforms, made in the same factory. Your best bet is to measure your Avenger carefully, and ask dealers/manufacturers if the Eclipse bar will fit. Alternately, find a dealer with one in stock, and measure it your self. If it is a decent dealer, they will let you take the bar over to your car to eye-ball it before purchasing.

Im looking at a 1995 dodge Avenger. Its the 4-cylinder type unfortunetly. Put how reliable it is, how fun it is to drive, and anything else you can think of.

A: Dodge Avenger is a cool car for the years produced. I wouldn't do the four banger though, not enough power for the weight of the car. Find a six, and it'll be a good car. Depending on price of course. You should be able to get them cheap though.

A: you go by the diagram ,its usually on a sticker on the front of the vehicle somewhere,i always use that if i don't have a manual on it,it will be accurate for your car,if the sticker is still there,good luck.

Where is the fuel filter on my Dodge Avenger (1999)? It has a 2.5 V6 in it I think. I had 1 mechanic say it was abovbe the gas tank.

A: This is not covered under warranty so the dealer will charge you to have the car towed in and repaired. Warranties cover defects in materials and workmanship on the vehicle, not the actions of mentally defective friends. Check to see if the starter relay is connected. That would be the most common way to disable the starter. The other choice is to pay to have it towed in and repaired, and to sue your friend for the bill.

Q: Does Anyone Knows How Much It Cost To Get A Clutch Fixed On A 1997 Dodge Avenger?
I have a 97 Dodge Avenger and my clutch went out on me and I wanted to know how much it will cost to fix it.

A: i think not sure but you can check dsm.com its a site for mostle all mitsubishi cars...because your engine is the same as the non turbo eclipse 2.0 motor..so i think a decant clutch goes for like 300 bucks or less. now the instal should be like 200 or more. i figure you might spend in total about 5 to 6 hundread for everything.

A: If you are willing to spend the money, rent one for the weekend. That will give you a good idea if it will work for your lifestyle. There is noting worse than buying a car and finding out 2 months later that is doesn't perform the way you had hoped it would. Test drives are nice, but you usually can't take them home for the weekend.

Q: this question is for the Dodgeman. Do you know where I can get a repair manual for an 08 dodge avenger?
I have tried every option such as helm chilton haynes and dodge. of course dodge wont sell a factory manual. also, Is there a website that may be helpful on questions concerning this year avenger? I have some questions regarding the rack and pinion and the cat convertor that the dealer can't seem to grasp. any assistance would be appreciated.

Q: My turn signal is STUCK on my dodge avenger?
Yesterday i was driving and i made a left hand turn and when i turned my wheel back straight, my turn signal got stuck. The lever isnt stuck... but the light doesnt stop flashing. i dont know what happened. How can i fix this myself? its a dodge avenger.

A: its the plastic switch in the steering column that's gone bad,when they break off like that you loose control over being able to control the turn signals,you have to pull the wheel to get to it and replace it,that a was common with those cars to do that,make sure the right one is still working right this will confirm that the arm has broken off of it in the column,its a pretty good little job to replace that one,but you can do it,good luck.
