Q: Should I buy a Dodge Caliber? Does anyone have negative or positive feedback regarding the Caliber? ?
I have test driven a HHR and really enjoyed it. However, I'm not a huge fan of the design. I absolutely love the amount of cargo space. Since I have a lot of music and sports equipment to haul around I need something with significant storage. I really like the Dodge Caliber as well. I hear that they severely lack in performance though. Any thoughts on what I should do would be appreciated.
A: i bought a 2009 caliber last november and i love it they have different models to choose from i have the stx blue it haves a cooler in the glove box sat radio free for a year and now they have a major discount on them . it runs pretty good for the price real good on gas a hhr will be more on gas you can get a all wheel drive one they have some with a neat package which haves a neat hood scoop on it some have tilt down speakers in the hatch for tailgating alot of headroom . some have the Bluetooth in the radio . in all in all i love my car for the price
Q: How to get more horsepower for 2007 Dodge Caliber?
Just wondering how to get more horsepower for my dodge caliber sxt.
i've got a 2.4 liter non turbo engine, getting me respectively 174 horsepower.. but I want more. Any suggestions? :)
Lol. I didn't think before I bought it. I was graduating high school in a week and was stoked to be getting a car. But yeah, there's no limit on money, really.
A: try a cold air induction kit,maybe a header and muffler kit.speed and sound.
Q: How slow is the 07 Dodge Caliber?
I have heard from a couple of sources that the 2007 Dodge Caliber is slow. I am looking at buying one of these and i am wondering if they really are as slow as people say. I understand that Dodge is known for making "fast and quick" cars and they are known for having big hemi engines in them. But is this car really so slow that its just not worth buying. I live in a suburb of Washington DC so i am wondering if the Caliber has enough "get up and go" for pretty heavy traffic and for highway speeds. Thanks
A: it is not slow but they have an sport version with 280 HP . the reason you might say it is slow is they are trying to get more fuel mileage rather than power out of those things .the base has a 148HP engine with a 5 speed and 158 HP engine with an SVT transmission, then you have a R/T and an SRT-4 ,
Q: is the new dodge caliber considered a chick car?
well iam a male and i was looking into getting a new dodge caliber, but i wanted 2 know if people considered it a chick car? So do u consider the dodge caliber a chick car?
A: Why should it matter? If you like the car, buy it.
For years the Mazda Miata has been considered a "chick" car, but statistics show that something like 60% of Miata owners are middle age white guys.
What peoples perceptions of a car are should have no basis on whether or not you buy it.
For the record, the only car I see as a chick car is any car that is painted pink.

I'm thinking about buying a 2007 Dodge Caliber with 30000 miles on it from Carmax.
A: Thats a fair car.not The best car you can buy. I own lots of Dodges, ford, and a couple chevys and Ill tell you out of all the trucks ford trucks keep up the best. Our dodges have transmission issues and suspension and frame issues. We have some Fords with over 600,000 miles on them with the same main parts! now that tells you something. Ford invented the heavy duty truck!

Q: How do I turn the front dome light on in my Dodge Caliber?
I can't figure out to manually turn on the dome light on my Caliber other than opening the doors. Anyone know how? It's a basic Sedan. Thanks!
A: Either flip the dimmer switch (the one that makes the dash go on and off) up as high as it goes, or more reasonably press the light in and it should go on.
Q: Any one else unhappy with there Dodge Caliber?
I got my Caliber last year with out doing much research (not smart I know) and an very unhappy with the vehicle I find there are several blind spots especially in the front side view and the gas milliage sucks wondering what other Caliber drivers think?

A: I don't own one, but had one for 10 days as a rental car, while my car was being repaired, approx 2 weeks ago. I hated it!
The blind spots were awful! And the back seat head rests were so freaking tall you couldn't see over or around them. Whoever designed the car clearly never looked in the rear view mirror! I couldn't wait to return it! Gas mileage didn't seem that horrible, though I hated it so much I rarely drove it, lol, so can't really say.
Q: Which color of interior looks best on the Dodge Caliber?
Dark Slate or Pastel Pebble Beige? The Caliber that I am getting has a Black exterior. I think that the dark slate would look best. The beige looks cheap to me.
A: the dark slate does look better it has more of an expensive look to it rather than just a beige color,the beige doesn't high light the interior enough to show it off,it just sort of blends in,with the dark slate it stands out,i never liked a light color on the interior of any vehicle ,it just don't blend in well,if it were me and i had a choice id chose the dark slate,if your buying new and have a choice choose the dark slate color,it also makes them sell better if you ever go to sell it,good luck.
Q: Anyone have information on the Dodge Caliber?
I am trying to test drive one, but apparently it's the hottest car that Dodge has going on right now. I was told by a dealer that the plant is working 7 days a week/3 shifts and can't keep up.
A: If you're going to buy one now...i'd say hold your money for a lil longer and go for the caliber SRT4...300HP turbocharged engine...i think it's a better buy...but that's me though...

A: Both are good, Caliber is good for a city car and the Tucson if you need interior space.
