I was wondering if someone could measure a Dodge Magnum and let me know how long it is (I want to make sure it would fit in my garage). Also, what kind of gas mileage do you get?

Hello, I plan to purchase a 2006 Dodge Magnum RT sometime next month.
I only drive in the city, and I’m wondering how many kilometers can I make on a Magnum RT; keeping in mind that I only do city driving.
Also, what is the best way to maintain the best fuel efficiency, what driving habit should I adopt? Keeping it under 3,000 RPM when accelerating?

A: With a 06 Magnum R/T expect between 13.5-16L/100km with all stop and go city driving. With a 72L tank on the R/T Magnum...I avg. about 425 to 500km/ tank depending on many conditions. MDS does not kick in (4 cylinder mode) till approx. 35km/hr. At idle or slower than 35km/hr you are running on all 8 cylinders. At the upper limit the MDS will disable when you reach speeds over 140km/hr.
The best way to utilize MDS is to actually install a MDS indicator light to let you know when the HEMI is running in 4 cylinder vs 8 cylinder mode. Very easy to do with a few parts from Radio Shack. I did this with my 05 Magnum RT AWD.
Also, if you are city driving don't do jack rabbit starts, however, this is easier said than done with the Hemi & dual exhaust. You may want to look at the Superchips power programmer as you can set up your Hemi Magnum to utilize 87 Octane fuel and run in fuel economy mode. You will see gains of about 0.5-1.0L/100km's depending on driving conditions.
With the Hemi the best RPM range for best fuel economy is about 2000RPM. Also, be sure you use 5W20 engine oil as any thicker oil will disable the MDS system and you will be running on all 8 cylinders.

Q: Can you fit 24 inch rims on a 2006 Dodge magnum?
Im about to get a Dodge magnum 06 and im going to upgrade on that thing, but I was wondering, do 24's fit on a 06 Magnum?

Q: How can i get car companies to sponsor my Dodge Magnum?
For example (Mopar) I am a full time student and have a full time job, i have recently bought a 2005 Dodge Magnum R/T and wanted to fix it up, but the only thing that is holding me from doing it is money. if by any chance i can get help from sponsors to fix up my ride, engine wise. Any information would be greatly appreactiated on finding what to do next.

my navigation just expired and im looking to get another one on ebay. i dont know which cd i should get because i see they have different kinds. what navigation cd do i need for my 2005 dodge magnum?
A: first off if its a dodge nav. radio which it sounds like, they dont expire. they do update through. if your nav. isn't working then u need to take it to the dealer and get it replaced. u might still be under warranty. i hope so cuz that radio is not cheap. and the cd is around $200.
Q: can you put 22 inch rims on a 2007 dodge magnum with out them rubbing?
i just purchased a 2007 dodge magnum. and the dealer threw in 22 inch custom rims. but when i turn hard to the left or right they rub on a bolt on the top of the tire. i want to know if i have to have just 20's or can i have 22's with a very small profile tire, which i don't want?
A: Is the rub problem just with the front wheels? Either get it raised half an inch, or Just get smaller tires. Your tires may have 2 much meat. I know alot of people that have chargers on 22 inches and 24 inches and never have rub problems. Hope i was a big help!
Q: I'm looking for some 18'' factory wheels in chrome with tires for a 2005 dodge magnum SE. Any ideas?
I have a 2005 dodge magnum SE with cover wheels, but instead buying new rims i would like to get some 18'' factory chrome wheels with tires . If anybody have any ideas or where I can get them please let me know.

A: Check out Ebay for the Factory RWD rims as the AWD version will not fit as it has a higher positive offset from factory +55mm vs +25mm for the RWD versions.
The 18's factory wheels on the 300's & Charger RWD rims will also fit your magnum SE and if you are thinking of 20's the SRT8 rims will also fit your Magnum. Just ensure they have a 5x115mm bolt pattern with +25mm offset as this is the stock configurations on the LX platform wheels for RWD versions.
Other sites you may look at is go to the Dodge Forums or LX forums and check in the FOR SALE section as several owners I have seen sell stock rims as they have upgraded to 20's or 22's on there rides and will sell the stock RT rims for cheap.

A: There are several web sites that have all this information. The "Official" Dodge web site at www.dodge.com doesn't load, but I found most of the same info at the NADA new car web site. They even have an interactive program where you can select the options you want on your car, and figures the total MSRP with your options.

I have been having problems with my dodge magnum 5.7 liter for the past week. The lights flicker on and off. Changed the alternator, but right before having it changed on my way home the car cut off on me.

A: 3-year 36 thousand miles was standard warranty, with extended it could either be 7 year 70 thousand ,it should be listed in the paper work or the owners manual they always put a paper in their saying what the warranty is on one,good luck.

A: The Dodge Magnum does not have a BCM. The controls for lights and interior are shared between the front control module (fcm), the cabin cluster node (ccn), which is basically the instrument cluster, and the door modules (ddm and pdm). depending on the system you are trying to fix or modify you will probably find the controls in one of these modules. Q: Does anyone know if the Dodge Magnum (wagon) is being discontinued?
I was told that it was no longer going to be made due lack of demand. I own a Dodge Magnum and Chrysler 300. I bought the 300 when it first came out and last year go a Magnum for my wife. We were thinking about turning in the Magnum and getting something more economical with gas prices at $4 in all.... But if its being discontinued I might consider keeping it for its "Classic" value....

A: I would go to woofersetc.com and get either a pioneer or clarion dvd deck, 2 (12" or 15") Memphis M3, and a Memphis 16-MCD1500. That setup would bang no doubt!

A: He's confused, they called the V8 engine the "Magnum V8" back then, before they started using that name in the car, but Magnum was not part of the model name of the truck, just the engine itself. The truck name was Dodge Ram 1500.
He's not lying, just mistaken.
