Q: Dodge Stealth?
Where would the pcm be on a 95 Dodge Stealth??
A: if you are talking about the main computer it is called an ecm on those models. It is located to the right of the accelerator pedal behind the left console cover.
Q: How much to convert my Dodge Stealth into a convertible?
I have a 1991 Dodge Stealth, and I want it to have a hard top convertible like the 3000GT VR-4 spyder.
A: Probably 5 grand.
You'd need to weld up a frame so the unibody doesn't collapse when you cut off the top. Then you'd need all custom gaskets/mounts to get the top to sit correctly and not leak. It's not really worth it on a 17 year old car.
Q: How to take off the aftermarket stereo in a 1992 Dodge stealth ES?
I have a 1992 Dodge stealth ES and right now it has a Kenwood CD head unit but i want to put another one in, the only problem is that i dont know where to start in the process of removing the Kenwood. Someone please tell me how to remove it. Thanx!
A: OK, here's how to do it:
1: remove the face
2: remove thin plastic trim that surrounds the face when its in. it should be pressure clips that you can just pull and it will come off.
3: you should be able to see the metal shell that the stereo is encased in, in between the shell and the stereo on the left and right sides are small spring loaded pins that hold the head unit in . if you have a thin flat piece of metal or plastic that you can wedge in between the shell and the unit on both sides it will slide straight out if you pull on it.
4: once the units out, disconnect the wiring harness for the rear of the head unit.
5: removing the shell is a little tricky, if you look around the inside of edge nearest the interior af the car you'll notice little sections that were pushed from the inside of the shell that hold the shell from sliding towards you, you've got to push those sections back to thier original places to get the shell out without damaging it.
6: now you have to decide what deck you're putting in, if its a kenwood, chances are good that you'll be able to use the same harness for the new deck. if its not, then look down the wires until you come to a large plastic connector, disconnect it there and it will be ready for a new deck. you might have to buy an adapter for it to connect to the factory wiring, that's the easiest and most reliable way to put the new deck in, no cutting wires. Good luck.
Q: Where can a find a Dodge stealth Turn signal lens?
I broke the turn signal on my 1993 dodge stealth (base model). Even the local dealer doesn't stock the part. Apparently they can order one from another dealer for about $100 but this seems ridiculous. Is there somewhere I can find or order another one.
A: www.mopar.com or try www.stillen.com.
It's the Dodge website..
You might end up having to go to something aftermarket and not OEM
Also try google or ebay. great resources..
Q: The clutch Pedal on my 1995 Dodge Stealth is stuck, and the car won't start?
I tried to start my 95 Dodge Stealth R/T, & the clutch pedal went down and wouldn't come up. There is a leak of some kind under the engine, maybe transmission fluid, but I'm not sure. I store it every winter, so it hadn't run since November. It was fine then. I can't drive it to the shop. What should an auto mechanical novice like me do.
A: you may either need a slave cylinder on it or the main master cylinder has went out for the clutch ,that will happen when the been stored and not used, its hard on them, that's more than likely where the fluid came from that your seeing,to get the clutch back you may have to replace both parts the starting problem is probably something simple, but the safety switch that mounts on the clutch pedal arm can affect it starting,so you,ll have to check that also, good luck with it.
Q: I have a 91' Dodge Stealth and it just stays in 3rd gear wat do i do?
Transmission : Automatic
1991 Dodge Stealth Base
The guy at the transmission shop said it could be something really simple but i have no idea about transmission just engines. The car just takes off so slow cause its in a high gear.
A: Probably just needs the bands adjusted assuming the car will pull away if you put it in "1" or "2" rather than "D".
Q: i have a 1991 dodge stealth es manual trans that i want to be fast can any1 help me please?
i have a 1991 dodge stealth es manual trans that i want to sound like the g35 infinti can anyone help me? please not just that. i want it all together just to be faster.
A: sounding like a G35 is a hard nut to crack but making it faster is relatively easy. Start with the basics a less restrictive aftermarket and intake and exhaust can add a few horsepower and also give give you a more high performance sound with the added bonus of creating better gas milage. add an upgraded ignition sysem (i.e. plugs, wires, coil) for some more zip. upgrading your clutch and adding a shorter throw shifter can help you run through the gears faster. also you can move up to the more involved power adders; turbo, nitrous, aftermarket PCMs and the like. In short the size of your wallet is the only limit but remember as you increase power you decrease reliability
Q: I want to change an E/S Dodge Stealth to an R/T. How do I change the parts and where can I get them?
I want to change an E/S Dodge Stealth body to an R/T. I've been wanting to do this project since 2001. I think it will be a fun project for my brother and I now that I've finally come into the money. Where can I get what I need and most importantly, how do I put them on, what will I need? Thank you very much for any in put.

Q: Dodge Stealth transmission doesn't work when cold?
Dodge Stealth transmission doesn't work when cold?
What could it be, I need to warm up the car before I can drive it because it can reverse, but when I try driving forward, it doesn't work until it's warm.
A: First have the transmission flushed and new filter and fluid added, this needs to be done ever 40,000 miles.
Good Luck,
Q: can you turn a dodge stealth into a convertable?
can you turn a dodge stealth into a convertable? i know they make them but can u turn one in to one?
A: Yeah, you could, but ya better know what yer doin'.... Convertibles are made with extra bracing and stronger frame parts in the floor and sides-particularly at the midpoints whereas on a unibody hardtop-the top is an integral part of the frame stucture-cut it off and your car just might collapse in the middle from it's own weight. And half a car is a real trick to drive ;)
Q: How much is a 94 Dodge Stealth Worth?
A friend of mine, that i trust said he would sell his 1994 Dodge Stealth to me for 2,000. It has 179,000 miles on it. Its white, and in decent cosmetic condition. He has said it runs great, but i was just hoping for some help on whether or not the price is right for me???
Also what is the insurence like to be the primary driver of this car?
Im sixteen, a white male, in Tampa, Florida.
Thanks for your help,
-Kyle
A: Price is about right.
I've looked at a few 1993s and a 1995, and they were all around that range.
$2k is perfectly reasonable.
Also, ignore the poster that mentions if it's an 8 cyl. Obviously he knows nothing about these cars, as they're all V6s.
And ignore anyone that claims Dodge is amazing. Keep in mind, you have a Mitsubishi, with Dodge badging. The engine is Mitsu, interior, etc. Only thing that is Dodge, is the body panels, lol.

Q: How much more money for insurance would a 1992 dodge stealth be compared with a 2003 cehvy impala?
Also I am only sixteen years old and I have a perfect driving record so far and have completed drivers training. In dollar estimate how much more would you say for the stealth? I also get insurance from state farm. They arnt open now so I cant contact them.
Also the stealth is an r/t, not the twin turbo model.
A: This depends on many factors. Overall the Chevy will more than likely be much more expensive, mainly because its a newer car. I would check some other insurance compaines that are open 24/7 and get a quote. You can usually do it online as well. I know Geico & Progressive are some that should be available.
Q: How much would it cost to insure a Dodge Stealth?
I was looking at Dodge Stealths but I am afraid it would cost to much money to insure being I am 17. I'm not talking about the Twin turbo version, I mean the base (which has about 125hp), the ES (about 222hp), or the R/T(same as ES but also has a turbo charger). The car weighs about 2500lbs i believe (if that even matters), also I would not be getting any upgraded body kits for it. Please don't just say a lot or something to that extent. Thank you for your time.
A: This question depends on a lot of factors, no one here can give you an answer unless they are an insurance agent licensed in your state. First of all, your driving record and how long you have had your license will be considered. Secondly, it's a sports car regardless of the engine, that's gonna cost you more just because it will. Then, will you have full coverage or just what you have to have legally (PLPD in my state). Will you have your own policy or be on your parents policy? Have you had tickets & accidents? Lotsa things to consider. I can tell ya that a Stealth is very expensive for a full time working adult and I'd bet you could no way afford the insurance alone. My 19 year old son wanted all the kewl sports cars and had em for a short while, then it clicked in his head how much cash he was spending and he traded his Camaro for a family type car with much less costs involved and the Lumina is also much better of gas which is another thing to consider with a Stealth. I love the Stealth's and wish I could afford one but can't so I drive my cheap car instead. Good luck!!

Q: can you help me on a 1992 sohc dodge stealth?
I have a 1992 dodge stealth sohc--I do not have any spark from coil--I replaced ICM--and the coil checked ok with ohm meter--I am from the old school mechanic 60s and 70s--but this new stuff ecm and sensors has me lost --I don't want to take it to a garage---I know how they work --I have worked in garages--but I was honest--please help me if you can--thank you
A: Don't let my intro fool. you. I worked for dodge for 10 yrs. I had a problem like this. it drove me up the wall for a couple hours. I even changed the crank sensor. Finally I broke down and started looking for tsb's. I found one that involved performing A harnesss wiggle test. Reconnect everything. Grab harnes between relay box and dist. There may be a hold down u may want to remove. So you can really move the harness around. Have someone crank the engine. see if it starts. The problem with this design. Is that when the engine and trany move. They where pulling on the harness. Breaking the wires internally. So the wires loOK ok from the out side but are broken on the inside. U should get a schematic from your public library. To help u Id the correct wires to check for continuity. Also check your mounts when done
Hope this helps..
