Q: I have heard rumors of the ford GT being used in the new bond film?
Say the badies are in the ford and bond in the aston, how could the film be complete if the blokes in the ford GT didn't run out of fuel halfway through the case. That would be classic bond (ie roger moore) so funny. Opinions?

A: I haven't heard anything about the GT, and I don't consider it likely because the GT was discontinued in 2006, and Ford's vehicle contract with the Bond franchise is still in effect for this next movie. Ford would probably not waste their last exclusivity with a discontinued product that can't make Ford any more money. The current "halo car" for the Ford franchise is the Shelby GT500 Mustang (of GT500KR or GT500 Super Snake etc.) I'm 95% sure if there is any Blue-Ovaled sports car in the film it will be the GT500.

Q: what is the hottest car on thae market is it the ford gt?
The Ford GT is Ford’s mid-engine two-seat sports car that Ford describes as the “Pace Car For An Entire Company.” Powered by a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 that produces 500 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque, the design is inspired by the legendary Ford GT race cars of the 1960s that swept the top three positions at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966.

A: I am neutral car guy that likes a wide variety of makes and models but definantly have to go with the Z06 vette or the new ZR1 that will be out soon. Both make awesome power with out the aid of forced induction and cost less. Cant beat it.

Q: is there really a ford gt that powers itself?
ive heard from my boss that theres a ford Gt or ford gt's that are able to power themselves.

A: there's lots about it on the WWW http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=ford+gt&ygmasrchbtn=web+search&fr=ush-ans

Q: what would you buy, ford mustang gt shelby or a porsche 911 carrera?
Am looking at getting a hobby car. Am stuck with a few options. Could get a 8-10,000$ ford gt mustang or I could get a 17-20,000$ porsche 911 carrera. I looked at BMW M5 as well and for that price i'd rather go with a 911. So which one would you choose and why? Also, I am open for other ideas.

A: I would go with the 911. Best gas mileage, awesome race bred, flat-6 boxer engine, It goes over 170mph. Mustang GT performance does not come close. Handing is bad. Top Speed is very low=146mph. M5 is limited to 155mph and is a sedan. Not as sporty as the Porsche, which handles and looks better.

Q: What motor oil comes stock from the factory in the engine of a FORD GT ( the remake of the GT40 from the 60's)
http://www.fordgt.org/images/stories/pics/ford-gt2.jpg I know for example Chevy Corvette's are factory stock with Mobil1. So what does the Ford GT use anyone actually know for a fact?

A: Motorcraft 5W-50

Q: What type of gas does a 2003 ford mustang gt take?
I just recently bought a 2003 ford mustang gt and the dealer said it took premium. However i read on the internet that it took regular unleaded. That would greatly help my wallet if it did. Anyone know? Thanks.

A: According to your owners manual 87 octane (regular unleaded) is recommended for a Mustang GT (unless it has been modified) Here is the link to download (free, courtesy of Fords website) the entire manual. It is in pdf format so it is easily saved to your computer for future reference. http://www.motorcraftservice.com/pubs/content/~WO3MUS/~MUS~LEN/42/03musog5e.pdf (see page 178 for fuel recommendation info.) I hope this helps. ;'-)

Q: How do I remove the radio in a 2002 Ford Mustang GT?
How do I remove the original stereo unit in a 2002 Ford Mustang GT? What information can you tell me about replacing it? Thanks!

A: you have to pop the surrounding tirm off, then remove the screws and it comes right out. don't freak out just grab it around the radio and pull out. now if it has the mach sound system you might have to use the tool they come two to a pack and you can get them at wal mart or parts house, but you will know if you need it before you pull the trim off b/c there will two holes right on top of each other on both sides of the radio, and you can change the radio out with no problem, but if it is mach there is an amp for every speaker, so you can't put new speakers without ripping all that out. hope this helps.

Q: How can you tell the difference between a 1997 Ford Mustang GT, and a 1997 Ford Mustang Cobra.?
How can you tell the difference between a 1997 Ford Mustang GT, and a 1997 Ford Mustang Cobra.

A: The hood has to 2 scoops that make it resemble a cobra head, if it has stock rims those are different too. Most have SVT badging and the rear bumper says Cobra. Some have little cobra decals on the front fenders.

Q: Is it OK to supercharge a 2005 Ford Mustang GT WITHOUT an intercooler?
I am considering buying a used 2005 Ford Mustang stock GT and supercharging it. The best supercharger for the Mustang GT appears to be a Whipple twin Screw type that produces about 6 psi of boost, and as a result improves HP at the rear wheels to about 405, which is is pretty dramatic. However, this Whipple setup does NOT come with an intercooler. My question is, is it "safe" to bolt on this much power without an intercooler??? Thanks for your answers.

A: yes it is safe to do so, but i would not recommend that. i would rather pay a little more for a kit with an intercooler. always keep in mind that increased temps under the hood can kill your engine and rob some horses. i had a procharger with an UPGRADED intercooler and it was keeping temps under the stock conditions and making 530 horses on the tires. there are also intercooled Whipple setups on the market, but the price for those would be a little higher than non intercooled. but it's worth of paying for an intercooled kit. however, if you have a stock engine and getting a non intercooled kit, be sure you stay around 5-6 psi and not more than 420rwhp. You also might want to use methanol injection to cool the engine down and add horses. hope that helps

Q: Whats the best exhaust system for 1993 ford probe gt?
What would be the best loudest deep sounding performance catback exhaust for my 1993 Ford Probe GT 2.5 V6? I am thinking Borla or Greddy which ever one is better? I wish they made the Greddy Evo2 fit my car but I went to the site and the only exhaust for my car is The Greddy sp2 but I think that model is too quiet. So does anybody have any segestions on which is the better brand, and the loudest?

A: You are most likely going to get allot of different answers on what people think the best exhaust is. I say it all depends on what you like. Try looking on some (Ford) forums, most have sound clips of different exhaust systems. Some manufactors like magnaflow, often have sound clips on their website as well. Good Luck

Q: What size tires are on a 1995 Ford Probe Gt? and what is a auto transmission cost for the Ford Probe?
I am planning on buying 1995 Ford Probe Gt and it needs a Auto Tranny and i need to know how much a tranny will cost to put one in cause the guy is asking 300 for it, and i need to know the size also so if the tires are messed up or half way then i will look into tires, but what are the regular size tires and wheels for the probe and what will a tranny(auto) cost for it?

A: the stock tire size for probe GT is 225/50R16 you might want to check that against the inside door pillar label and 200 bucks for a good used tranny is a fair price --expect to pay about 150 to 200 to install it for labor

Q: I have a 1990 ford escort gt what other cars can I use parts off of?
I need to know what other cars i can use parts off of to fix the axel, tie rod ends, and ball joints on my 1990 ford escort gt?

A: Tie Rods and ball joints should be the same for all Escorts of similar vintage. Engine and drivetrain parts will by and large be unique to the GT. I can't recall if this was the year they switched to a Mazda Protege platform. It probably is, in which case some of those parts may work.

Q: which car is better to drive: a murcielago lp640 or a ford gt?
which one is better for me to buy. the murcielago has 640hp and the ford gt has 550hp. i am trying to figure out what to buy. please help.

A: the Ford GT is cheaper, very fast, FAR more reliable than the lambo, cheaper to fix, has a great history (which makes up for the ford vs lamborghini difference), and is an exceptional car, esp for the cost. Its also very moddable, unlike the murcielago. 800+ hp ford GTs are running around out there. The murcielago (assuming it drives similar to a large gallardo, which ive driven a few times), will be more refined, easier to drive, and quite a bit faster. And thrice the price. If i were to be buying a car in that range, i would wait for the new 997 911 GT2 to come out. it will be faster than either, more refined, and just completely awesome.

Q: how do I change the spark plugs on a 2002 Ford mustang GT ?
I am helping my buddy with his car. We can't locate the spark plugs tho. It's a 4.7 liter, V-8 2002 Ford mustang GT. Any advice would be really appreciated.

A: On each side of the intake manifold are individual ignition coils. Spark plus are underneath them.

Q: Does anyone know, when were lines first placed on the Ford Mustang GT?
Does anyone know, when were lines first placed on the Ford Mustang GT and what are the classic design of the lines? See my husband and I are ina controversy. We have a Mustang GT 2006. He wishes to place the 2 wide lines on the car, because he says that this is the classical design for a Mustang GT. I on the other hand prefer no lines, but if he is going to put lines on the mustang I prefer that hey be the one that is 1 wide line in the middle and 2 thin lines on each side of the wide line. He (my husband) says that this is not part of the classical design. Can anyone please shed some light on this matter?

A: Your right for the side of the GT, he's thinking of the Shelby's 65-68 over the roof
