Q: pontiac !!!!?
what do you guys think of 2000-2005 Pontiac Bonneville

A: I think that generation of Bonneville is the best looking of them all - I wouldn't buy any other generation of Bonneville, personally. I'm sure since it's been the flagship of the Pontiac lineup that there's lots of goodies that come with it. I too am a Grand Am owner (1999). I love Pontiac. I say go for it!

Q: How many miles can Pontiac Firebirds last before they start getting problems?
Im looking at buying a 1995 Pontiac Firebird and it has 138000, for 3700 for best offer. Think it's worth it? How long can these cars last before they start getting problems?

A: it doesn't matter how many miles you put on it, its how well you take care of it. if you take care of it well enough it could last you your hole life. your question can not be answered in truth by user's, but only by other user's experience of what they "THINK"

Q: What's the difference between the Pontiac Grand Prix GT and GTP?
I've had two Pontiac Grand Prixs in the past and they've both been SEs and once again I'm searching for another one. The Grand Prixs that I'm looking at now say either GT or GTP and I'm confused in the difference. Which one is better? Does one have something that the other doesn't?

A: The Wide Track Grands Prix (c. 1997 - 2003) used a 3800 V6, one of the best engines GM ever built. It was used in several models by Chevy, Pontiac, and Buick. The GTP used a supercharged version of the 3800, as did the Buick Regal (GS) and Chevy Impala (SS). The supercharged version of the car is better for a few reasons. First, they usually look better and have more standard features. Second, all supercharged 3800s used an aluminum upper intake instead of the inferior plastic one on standard V6 motors. The aluminum intakes held up better since they didn't warp or crack. Both cars are nice choices, but I would take the GTP. The gas mileage isn't much worse, and you get anywhere from 40-60 extra horsepower.

My 2000 pontiac bonneville wont start after running out of gas. I got it towed to the gas station thinking it needed gas but after putting 40 dollars worth of gas the car would try to start but wont completly start. A: that happened to me also, i just left it with a full tank and after a few hours I started it. fine

Any pontiac buffs want to help me out, I would apreciate it. Any feed back on how hard it would be to put this motor in a chevy based pontiac would be great too.

A: My 85 has a 305 chevy block in it

Q: How to remove the alternator in a 2002 Pontiac Montana?
Hi, This question is for someone who has actually replaced the alternator in a Pontiac Montana (hopefully 2002). I have replaced alternators on other cars, but the space on this seems too tight to pull the alternator out. What has to be removed to remove / replace the alternator? It looks like maybe some of the windshield wiper control arms, but even that doesn't look like it will open up enough space. This van does not have a cover inside the van to remove for engine access.

A: Remove the front engine torque mounts (dog bones). Put the car into neutral and attach a strap to the engine lift hook and the other end around the radiator support bar. Pull on the strap so that the engine moves toward the front of the car until you have enough room to remove the alternator and then secure this position.

Q: how do i work my remote start for my pontiac g6?
I recently bought a '06 Pontiac G6 with the remote start option. The car did not come with a user's manual and I forgot to ask how to use the remote start button. I have tried pushing the lock button and then pushing and holding the start button. My info center does not have the option to turn on or off the remote start, or if it does, I cannot seem to find it. The fob works fine--the lock and unlock buttons anyway. I was just wondering if there was an easy way to fix the problem.

A: i am a gm technician if you have the factory remote start option then to use the remote start all you have to do is press the lock button on the fob then press the and hold for 3 seconds the start button (it is the button that is just above the lock and unlock buttons at the very top)

Q: How do I remove a coolant hose from a pontiac?
My brothers car has a leak in the hose from coolant and he has a 2000 pontiac SE. He needs to change it. He has all the tools but no instuctions. Please help.

A friend has a 2004 used Pontiac Sunbird with 31,000 miles. It failed the emissions test because of a bad o2 sensor. Would the o2 sensor be covered under a federal emissions warranty for up to 7 yrs or 70,000 miles and be replaced for free by the dealer ? Thanks.

A: the federal warranty is 8 yr 80000. i belive that only covers the pcm and converter. not o2 sensors
